Here's a quick hack for getting a shallow depth of field on your action camera
I watched Jake Rich’s YouTube Channel where he shows travel vlogs filmed exclusively on action cameras. He uploaded a video called “what's in my camera bag? | ACTION camera accessories and gear 2022”. Right at the end of the section on accessories, he talks about using a magnifying glass with his action camera in order to get the blurry background look. He also mentioned that a downside to using this method is that it may be hard to make sure the subject is in focus as action cameras tend not to have autofocus on them.
I thought this was an interesting concept and one worth trying because one of the reasons I invested in a DSLR camera was to get that shallow depth of field.
